Conference Venue: Founded in 1783, École des Mines is one of France’s most prestigious and historically significant engineering schools. Located in the heart of Paris, beside the Luxembourg Garden, the School has contributed to scientific, industrial, and public leadership for more than two centuries, combining fundamental research with a strong tradition of collaboration with industry. Despite admitting only a small number of highly selected students each year, its distinguished alumni include Nobel laureates and a disproportionately high number of CEOs and senior industrial leaders. Accommodation: We do not offer pre-negotiated conference rates, as securing preferential hotel prices in Paris is difficult due to consistently high tourist demand. However, more than one hundred hotels are located within walking distance of the conference venue, covering a wide range of standards and price categories. Participants seeking more affordable accommodation may wish to consider hotels near the city limits, for example around Porte d’Orléans, or even outside central Paris, provided they are located close to the RER B line. The conference venue is situated only a short walk from the RER B station “Luxembourg”, offering convenient access from many parts of the Paris region, including direct transfer to the airports (Orly in the South and CDG in the North).
